Aravali Biodiversity Park, Gurgaon
Aravali Biodiversity Park (ABDP), as its name suggests is an endeavour to create a forest garden that celebrates forest flora native to the Aravali range. We have lost a large part of Aravali range, its flora and fauna to rampant development and urbanization. The Aravali Biodiversity Park was once a mining site. The land still has fresh scars of the mining era.
Situated on the South Central Delhi Ridge within the Aravalli Range which is extend from Gujarat through Rajasthan to Haryana–Delhi. The spurs of the Aravallis are popularly known as the Delhi Ridge in Delhi which is divided into the Northern, Central, South Central and Southern Ridge.

Leisure Valley Park is a huge park located in sector 29 Gurgaon. The closest metro station to the garden is located half a kilometer away.
It is one of the famous picnic spots in the city. It has a jogging track, exercise garden, sand pit area for kids as well as lots of swings for children. There are musical fountains in the garden and also a rose garden which has different variety and colours of roses.
The park does get crowded in the evenings and weekends. There is also a cafe in the garden itself called ' Roots Cafe'.

Lost Lake
The Lost Lake in Gurgaon is a quiet and isolated tourist spot away from the city. It is a lovely lake and is a perfect picnic spot amidst serene and peaceful ambiance. The lake is surrounded by lush green natural vegetation. The lake is a home to many local and migratory birds. You would see here flamingos, gray herons, ducks, Purple Herons, Purple Moorhens, painted storks and a lot more. About 100 different species of birds can be found here, especially during winters. The place is very beautiful due to flowing water, beautiful birds cuddling in the water and the vegetation around. It is advisable to take drinking water and food along while you visit the place as there would be no vendors around

The Okhla Bird Sanctuary (OBS) is roughly 4 square kilometres in size and is situated at the entrance of NOIDA in Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh. It is situated at a point where river Yamuna enters in the state of Uttar Pradesh leaving the territory of Delhi. It is one among 15 bird sanctuaries in the state.
The bird species of thorny scrub, grassland and wetland are seen in the sanctuary due it's unique positioning. This wetland was formed due to the creation of Okhla Barrage. The Uttar Pradesh Government notified this as Sanctuary in the year 1990. It is now one of the 466 IBAs (Important Bird Areas) in India.
More than 188 species of plants recorded including herbal plants recorded and out of these 121 species of herbs, 10 species of shrubs, 30 species of trees, 9 species of herbaceous climbers and 16 species of grasses.
About 10 species of threatened birds recorded includes species of critically endangered (CR) birds, species of nearly threatened (NT) birds recorded.
More than 320 bird species recorded out of these 20 common resident water bird species and 44 common resident woodland species and 43 migratory water birds species and 26 migratory woodland birds species.
About 10 species of mammals includes nilgai, indian mongoose, blacknaped hare, jackels, 08 species of reptiles, 02 species of amphibians.

This Botanical Garden is sprawled across an area of about 160 acres accommodating the most exquisite varieties of flora. The garden premises houses about 7,500 varieties of plants which include several endangered species as well.
The garden has been divided into 10 distinct sections which are further subdivided into smaller sections still. Perhaps the most eye-catching collection of plants here are the "medicinal plants" which has 96 varieties of plants which have been classified according to the parts of the body they benefit. For example, the "digestive system" section has aloe vera and Gymnema Sylvestre which cures diabetes and the "blood and circulation" section has Withania Somnifera and Aristolochia Indica blood purifiers.
Apart from having different sections for medicinal plants, rare plants, extinct plants, the garden also houses a section of fruit plants and trees, namely mango, pomegranate, lemon, pear, plum, mulberry, and black guava. Trees like Sapindus Emarginatus (Reetha), Pterocarpus Marsupium (Sandalwood), Dabergia Sissoo (Sheesham wood), and Tectona Grandis (Teakwood) find a place here as well. The major highlight of the garden is a huge map of India carved across an area of 68ft X 61.4 ft with each state plants planted in their respective location.

National Zoological Park is a zoo, which is located on the Mathura Road in New Delhi. The zoo was inaugurated as Delhi Zoo on 1st November, 1959, but was granted a status of the National Zoological Park in 1982. Covering an area of 89,0308.41 sq. m, this zoo is home to around 2,100 species of animals and birds.
The main attractions of the zoo are Chimpanzee, Hippopotamus, Spider monkey and African Wild Buffalo. Visitors can also spot Gir Lion, Zebras, Macaque, Banteng, Peafowl, Hog Deer and Jaguar. The zoo also features a Reptile Home Complex, where visitors can see snakes such as King Cobra and Pythons.
Over 200 varieties of trees, including Alamtas Hedges, Lahura trees and the native Delhi Bistendu, can be seen in the zoo. The zoo also features a 17th century Kos Minar, which was built by Jahangir, the son of Emperor Akbar. Visitors can explore the zoo either on-foot or by using a battery-operated vehicle.
