National Bal Bhavan is an institution which aims at enhancing the creative potential of children by providing them various activities, opportunities and common platform to interact, experiment, create and perform according to their age, aptitude and ability.

It offers a barrier-free environment with immense possibilities of innovation, minus any stress or strain.

The mini train inside runs and takes the round of the bal bhawan ticket is just Rs 20 per person of that train.

Major Attraction and Activities:

• Mini Train: The Mini Train is the star attraction of the National Bal Bhavan. Ride in this train is enjoyed by children and adults alike. The Mini Train is a complete miniature Railway and has two open coaches and has seating arrangement for fifty-two persons.

• Traffic Park: A tiny traffic park has been set up in the premises of Bal Bhavan. The park has small roads equipped with traffic signals, road signs and crossings. Children are provided with bicycles to paddle around and learn about the traffic rules and signals in a fun way.

• Laughing Mirrors: A gallery full of mirrors. Huge pieces of concave and convex mirrors  at different angles and positions with each other to reflect a deflected and a distorted image to create fun for children. A great way to teach the kids about different kinds of mirrors, reflections, and science in general.

• Science Park: A working science models of every day use to answer children's curious questions and teach them about the everyday phenomenon with science activities.

• Mini Zoo: Tiny zoo to impart basic knowledge about animals to the kids.

Bal Bhavan also provides membership to children between the age group of 5-16 years.
(Age as on 1st April of the year of admission). Children should bring two passport size photographs and age proof certificate from school for admission.

Children can take up any two activities of their choice. Internment, Library, Publication, Aquarium and Animal corner related activity are the third additional activities they can participate in. Transport Facilities are available during summer session only for girls upto 16 years and boys upto 13 years. National Bal Bhavan gives special attention to Socially, Emotionally, Physically and Mentally challenged children.
